What a confluence of liberation, energy, and radiance. I spent the last few days in Atlanta, Georgia immersed in all things Yoga Therapy. I was asked to present about Yoga Therapy at the End of Life at the Symposium for Yoga Therapy and Research, sponsored by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and discovered that by shining a light on this taboo subject, we can encourage ourselves and others to live fully until we die. I am leading an End of Life Yoga Certification this summer/fall online. If you are interested, please respond to this email (more details can be found HERE). We will have an Info Meeting over Zoom on Monday, July 7.
Some other takeaways:
My mentor and friend Cheryl Fenner Brown presented a beautiful offering of Mudras for Difficult Conversations. With everything going on in the news and in our own personal lives, having grounding techniques at our fingertips (literally!) can help us balance our nervous systems so that we can engage with people who may think differently from us. Check out her work HERE
Reggie Hubbard talked about how yoga therapy and sound healing helped him navigate his recent stroke and allowed him to continue to do the necessary work of social justice. Check out his work HERE
My Grief Mentor Antonio Sausys spoke eloquently about using yoga therapy to befriend complex emotions such as anxiety. Check out his work HERE
I was inspired by the inclusivity and diversity offered at this conference. I made some great connections and partnerships. Stay tuned for exciting announcements in the months to come.
Yoga Therapy for the End of Life

In conjunction with ABODE Contemplative Care for the Dying, an end of life home in San Antonio, Texas, I provide healing practices for people at the end of their lives, people who work with the dying, and people who are experiencing the death of a loved one.
Learn how to do this amazing work!
Our next training will be held remotely - with live sessions over Zoom and 1:1 mentoring sessions with Natalie. An Info Meeting over Zoom will be held on Monday, July 7.
The Grounded Actor Project

I currently serve as the Resident Intimacy/Trauma Coordinator for the Overtime Theatre in San Antonio, Texas.

Travel with a Side of Yoga

I recently completed a 35 day trip with my Dad up the Mississippi River - driving up the Great River Road. We started in New Orleans with stops in Baton Rouge, Natchez, Vicksburg, Memphis, St. Louis, Muscatine, Fairport, The Quad Cities, La Crosse, and the Twin Cities. Travel is an integral part of my life, as is yoga. This trip allowed me to learn about myself and how yoga therapy can be a great complement to traveling!
