sATURDAY, MAY 22 2 pm pdt/4 pm cdt

Working through grief can be some of the hardest work one will ever do. It takes tremendous courage, patience and strength to bring mindfulness and compassion to our inner lives during this time. What we know, however, is that pain and suffering, not transformed is transmitted to other areas of our lives. As difficult as it may seem, facing our grief is one of the most generous acts of compassion we can offer to both ourselves and those around us.

In this 90 minute workshop we will address the many facets of loss and discover new ways to support ourselves during this fragile time in order that we may begin the journey of healing.  No matter where you are in the process, this is an invitation to join in a nurturing, supportive environment, take a deep seat of refuge in your body, acknowledge the threshold that has been crossed and allow for the possibility that healing may begin or soften.

Here's what you can expect from this workshop:

  • Welcome/Intention set

  • Discussion:  Creating space for grief as our natural response to loss, Navigating new territory as we inhabit our lives after loss.

  • Ritual

  • Meditation

  • Asana: 45 minute gentle flow practice that will focus on present moment awareness, breath and self-care rooted in Ahimsa and compassion.
